Obituary

Thomas Kuzdzal (1949 - 2025)

Thomas Kuzdzal, proud husband and father of two children, 75, of Tewksbury, MA, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep on December 15.

He was born in Webster, MA in 1949 to Frederick and Rita, as the second of four children. Thomas was educated at St. Joesph’s School and Bartlett High School before studying Chemical Engineering at The University of Massachusetts at Amherst, earning his Masters Degree in Business Administration at New Hampshire College, going to work at Kenics, Borden, Morton Thiokol, and American International Chemical, where he retired from in 2010. Thomas was also a proud Air Force Reservist during the Vietnam War era, reaching the highest rank of Captain.

Tom met his wife of 52 years in 1967 while at UMASS Amherst, as freshmen, when Patricia was unknowingly the roommate of his childhood best friend. They began dating in 1970, became engaged in 1971, and were married on April 14, 1973, in Malden, MA. With that, he married into the Sullivan Clan, which with it, brought along the boisterous cousins and all the family parties over the years. He would always man the grill at the family parties and was the consummate host.

Tom was a loving father to Michael and Catherine, and one of his happiest days was the day Mike married Amy Doe, growing the family even more. He thought of Amy as a second daughter and was over-the-moon when they announced that they were pregnant with his grandson, Ryan. Ryan became his best buddy, spending most days together for the first four years of Ryan’s Life. He took pride in watching his son, and then his grandson play football, following in his footsteps.
Tom loved spending time with family, whether it was Christmas Eve with Karen, Earl, Kristen and Ari; Skiing with Shanna and Jason; or Pool Parties when we could arrange time to see Joanne, Seth, Holly, Jennie-Jo, Chris, Todd and Ivy. Over this past summer, he was able to get back to Webster to meet up with Pam, Mark, Becky and JT for a fun day, ending with memories gained at Waterfront’s.

Son of the late Frederick and Rita (Skrocki) Kuzdzal. Beloved Husband to Patricia (Sullivan), Loving father to Michael Kuzdzal and his wife Amy (Doe) of Sandown, NH, and Catherine Kuzdzal of Tewksbury. Doting Grandfather to Ryan Kuzdzal. Brother to Karen and her husband Earl Gabor of Webster, MA and Pamela and her husband Mark Caouette of The Villages, FL. Brother-in-Law to Joanne, wife of the late Joseph Kuzdzal of Huffman, TX.
