She was born on November 7, 1932, in Boston, and was the daughter of the late Kenneth W. Cooper and Marjorie Thelma (Scolley) Cooper. She was raised in Medford, where she attended the area schools, graduating from Medford High School in 1950.

Marjorie retired from Lahey Clinic in Burlington after 12 years. Prior to that, she worked for Sweetheart Plastics in Wilmington for 24 years, and earlier in her career she worked at John Hancock in Boston for 12 years.

She was an active member of the Pythian Sisters, a sister organization to the Knights of Pythias, the first fraternal organization chartered by Congress under President Lincoln. Marjorie was a very active, longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Tewksbury before relocating to Dracut, where she attended Christ Church United.

She had a deep passion for dance that began as a young girl and continued tapping well into her seventies. She also enjoyed attending musical and dance performances, especially her family members’ dance recitals. Marge danced with Donna Miceli’s studio and later at her niece Audrey’s studio. She loved shopping, dining out with friends and family, playing cards with family, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Lynda Ryan, Robert Anderson Jr., Lori Anderson, and Richard Anderson, all of Dracut, as well as Ronald Anderson and his wife Kathleen (Colbert) of Tewksbury. In addition to her children, she is survived by her four grandchildren, Angela Morales, Michael Ryan, Brian Anderson, and Alyssa Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Aiyanna; her cousins BettyLou, Patsy, Elaine, Ronnie, and Virginia, her brother-in-law, Edward Wetterwald; and several nieces and nephews.
