AUDREY E. BOENIG
October 22, 1937 – December 16, 2025
Audrey Ethel Boenig of Walpole, MA passed away on December 16, 2025 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland, MA.
Audrey was born on October 22, 1937 in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, the youngest of four children of Albert and Ethel Schrum. A bookkeeper by trade, Audrey also lived in Cornwall, NY, New Castle, DE, and Foxboro, MA. In her retirement she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and writing; she was a member of the Talespinners group at the Foxboro Senior Center.
Audrey is survived by her brother Donald Schrum of Layton, UT, and her three sons – Reginald (Kim) of Red Hook, NY; Wayne (Karen) of Walpole, MA, and Randall (Tatiana) of Sandgate in the United Kingdom; and five grandchildren – Abigail and Jonathan of Walpole and Alexandra, Rachel, and Lila Grace of Red Hook. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Albert Schrum Jr. and her sister Carol Duncan.
There will be no immediate services but a celebration of Audrey’s life is being planned for January. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Community Care, 160 Wells Avenue, Newton, MA 02459 (gscommunitycare.org)
