Mahoney, Joan A. “Joanie” passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. She was a long time resident of West Newton. She was predeceased by her father James F., mother Catherine (Sheedy) and sister Janet. She is survived by her loving brother Mark, sister-in-law Nicole and nieces Francesca and Amalia. She is also survived by her loving cousin Edward Mahoney and his children David, Katie and Jimmy.
Joan suffered a major stroke in 2006. Joan not only survived the stroke but thrived in life afterwards. Joan made friends wherever she went. From the “RIDE” drivers to the therapists, doctors, nurses and all those involved in her care. If you were fortunate enough to cross paths with Joanie in life, you won’t soon forget her.
