James Basil Reid, 71

James “Jim” Basil Reid was 71 years old.
He was born March 4, 1954 in Boston, Massachusetts to his father, the late James F. Reid and mother Lurline E. Reid, Both of Jamaica.
James entered eternal rest on December 6, 2025 at Lawrence General Hospital and was surrounded by loved ones.
Jim was known for his strong work ethic and his contributions working at the Eagle Tribune in North Andover beginning in 2004, until his retirement in 2019.
Jim was an amazing father and friend who enjoyed spending his time cooking and watching sports-especially the New England Patriots.
Jim is survived by his wife of 26 years, Deidre Edwards Reid, of N. Andover, daughters Jamie Edwards of Melbourne, Australia, Shawna Edwards of N. Andover, Sons Shawn M.G. Edwards and James Edwards both of N. Andover, and one beloved grandson, Xavier M.G. Edwards of N. Andover.
