Richard Elwood, age 76, of Boston Massachusets, born February 29th, 1949 to late Margaret Bower and John Bower, unexpectedly passed away on December 13th 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and quiet strength.
Richie was met in Heaven by his life partner and soulmate, Bernadette Sabatini, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond. His memory lives on through, his daughter, Carla Elwood, and her life partner, Cedric Scott; Richie was the proud Papa to Talia Scott and Nicholas Killeen; and his stepchildren, Tina, Dino, and Joey Sabatini, whom he loved as his own.
A proud United States Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran, Richie served his country with honor and courage. Beyond his military service, and various jobs, he liked to "Tinker" with things. He was known in his neighborhood as the man who could fix anything that was broken—always willing to lend a hand, share his time, and help without being asked. Above all Richie was an amazing Dada and Papa.
Richie was truly an extraordinary man—steadfast, kind, and generous. He will be remembered for his loyalty, quiet humor, strength, and the deep love he held for his family. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the many lives he touched.
