Barrett (Barry) King. Age 83 of Beverly, Ma passed away on Friday, December 12th after a brief illness.
Barry was born and raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School. After high school, he enlisted into the United States Air Force where he served proudly.
Barry worked at Delta Airlines for 30 years enjoying the employee benefits and traveled the world making friends everywhere he went. He had an amazing personality and huge heart. People gravitated to Barry because of his ability to make everyone feel important.
Barry enjoyed vacationing in Mijas, Spain where he shared a small condominium overlooking the Mediterranean where countless memories were made. He also loved reading, visiting with friends and family and trips to the casino.
Barry was a loving partner of 63 years to Bernie Santo. Also, a cherished uncle to Denise Flathers, Todd Dimino, and William King Jr. He was also the brother-in-law to Vicky King. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Barrett, and Dorothea (Queenan) King, as well as his siblings, Nikki Dimino and her late husband Al and William King. He was loved deeply by his extended family and countless friends.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, December 19th at 10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Barry’s life in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 18th from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barry’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
