
Irene L. White, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Saturday, December 13, 2025. She was 55 years of age.
Irene was born in Melrose on June 29, 1970, a daughter of Constance E. (Holland) Calvert and the late James White. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School System. Irene worked as a Home Health Aide in the surrounding communities. She was a very spiritual person who enjoyed reading the Bible. She was very thoughtful and caring and would often write letters to family members. She was always thinking of others. Irene was a member of The Bridge Recovery, Sober Shadow, and Pathfinders.
Irene is the devoted mother of Jamie Byrnes and Richard Byrnes. She is the lifetime companion of Richard Byrnes. She is the dear sister of Tina Byrnes and her husband Steven, and James White and his wife Shannan. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog Diamond.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Irene’s visiting hours on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. with her Funeral Service beginning at 6:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private.
