Julia Catherine (Leavitt)Gaythwaite, 85, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Winchester, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 at Bay Pointe Nursing Pavilion in St. Petersburg. She was the wife of the late William Gaythwaite. She was born in Ipswich, MA and moved to St. Petersburg in 1980 from Winchester. She was a volunteer for Lakewood Elementary School, Suncoast Girl Scouts, the Tampa Bay Harvest and the Florida Holocaust Museum. She was of the Episcopalian faith. She is survived by her two daughters: Susan and John Loftus, St. Petersburg, FL and Martha Gaythwaite and her husband John Tebbets, Gorham, ME; her son: William "Pete" and his partner Curtis Gaythwaite, Maplewood,NJ; her three sisters: Margaret MacArthur& her husband George, and Roberta & Fred Bocko, all of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Betty Ann and John Glavin of Billerica, MA. Grandmother of Meg Loftus, Jack and Bill Tebbetts and Zachary Harris. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 11:30 AM in the Parish of the Epiphany Church, 70 Church St. Winchester. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Julia's memory may be made to the Florida Holocaust Museum, 55 Fifth St. South, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
