Linda Davis Delaney, 78, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, December 11, 2025, at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 7 PM, Monday, December 15, 2025, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia, with Pastor Larry Davis officiating and Thomas Davis and Richard Huey delivering the eulogies. The family will receive friends Monday, from 5 PM until the service hour at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Linda was born March 31, 1947, in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Harmon Columbus & Mary Elizabeth Moore Davis. She was a secretary for Dove Law Firm and a volunteer for Ruth’s Cottage and The Patticake House. Linda loved riding motorcycles, shooting pool and singing karaoke. She loved her country and stood beside her husband who proudly served honorably. She always stood up for what was right and enjoyed helping others. She may not have always been the best mom but she was the best Mom and Grandma to our family. Let all your things be done with charity. I Corinthians 16:14.
She is survived by her three sons: Richard & Marie Huey, Bull Huey, all of Irwin County and Michael Huey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Jonathan & Madison Tomberlin, Amanda & Spenser Bridge, Steven & Lori Harper, Thomas & Chandler Davis, Whitney Davis and Mia Huey; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Davis Cook of Ocilla; and a brother, Harmon & Gwen Davis of Ocilla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wayne Delaney; sisters: Dorothy Coalson and Marilyn Davis and a brother, J. Harvey Davis.
