Obituary

Barbara M. (Letellier) Marsh, age 95, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, formerly of Cambridge and Wilmington, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at the Prescott House in North Andover.

She was the beloved wife of Walter R. Marsh, Sr., who passed away on May 16, 1994.

Born in Cambridge on September 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Letellier and the late Margaret T. (O’Brien) Letellier.

Barbara was raised in Cambridge and attended local schools.

Prior to retiring, she worked as a nurse at the former Waltham State Hospital.

She treasured the many times she and her late husband traveled in their “Coachman” camper visiting points of interest across the country, as well as family vacations spent at Wildwood Beach in New Jersey.

She spent many winters in Sarasota, FL, where she loved strolling the beach, collecting seashells which she shared with her family, and playing cards with her friends.

In recent years, Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting, knitting, and sipping her daily tea and donuts. As well as spending time will all of her loved ones, both young and old.

Barbara is survived by her children, Walter R. Marsh, Jr. and his wife Regina, of Billerica, Wayne Marsh and his wife Cheryl, of Vermont, Paula Williamson and her late husband Bernie, of Deltaville, VA, Steven T. Marsh and his wife Deborah, of Tewksbury, and Donna M. Beatrice and her husband Michael, of Tewksbury: three sisters, Carol Taylor, Nora Branscombe and Agnes Reid. She leaves numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Barbara was the sister of the late Joseph, Robert, John and Edward Letellier, Mary McMahon, Margaret McClintic, Loretta Kenney, and Helen White.

Calling hours are Friday, December 19, from 2 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with prayer services beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Private interment of her ashes will be held at a later date at Tewksbury Cemetery.
