BAR MILLS- Michael Thibodeau, 51 y.o. of Buxton, Maine passed away Tuesday December 9, 2025, of lung cancer.
Mike was born in Danbury CT and his family moved to Biddeford ME in 1978 and lived there until he met his wife Melissa.
Mike and Melissa married in 2003. Resided in Saco & Biddeford before moving to their permanent residence in Buxton. Mike was employed by USPS where he worked for many years and even with cancer only stopped working in November 2025. Believe it or not they wanted a Dr.'s note as to why he was working less and/or needed so much time off. (eye roll)
Mike was a genuine, honest man. Caring and devoted husband and friend. Michael enjoyed cruises and tropical vacations with family and friends, sports cars and his Dodge Rams (purchased a Ford ONCE returned it in 2 months). Loved to play and watch sports as well as boobies. Became a self-proclaimed BBQ/Meat smoking master. Would play his music so loud you would often hear it before you saw him pulling up in his truck. Enjoyed the times just hanging out with his friends.
Mike is survived by his wife Melissa, parents Richard Sr. and Nancy Thibodeau, older brother Richard Jr. Thibodeau. Uncles and Aunts; John & Karen, Annie & Mark and Gerry as well as several cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday Dec. 20th from 2 - 3 PM, followed by a service with songs and memories to honor Michael's life at 3 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Burial will be in the spring at South Buxton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a Cancer Center could be made or walk, run or volunteer for a Cancer event.
