Mr. Robert G. DiPasquale, a longtime resident of Somerville and beloved husband of the late Flora (Toscano) DiPasquale, passed away in Boston on Saturday, December 6, 2025, with his loving family at his side. He was 92 years old.
Born in East Boston, Massachusetts, he was the beloved son of the late Pasquale Dipasquale and Lucretia (Caruso) DiPasquale. He enrolled in the United States Army and held the rank of corporal and proudly served in the 5th Division 2nd Infantry in Germany where he earned the National Defensive Service Medal along with the Army of Occupation Medal. After leaving the Army, he earned his college degree from the Massachusetts School of Art and later his master’s from Assumption College. Bob, for many years, was an Art Teacher for the North Reading Public School department and had many successful art students. In his spare time, he enjoyed rooting for the local sports teams, painting, creating pottery and making stained-glass artwork. He also loved having the summers off when he was employed as a teacher and loved his extended family (especially his great grandchildren Sophie and Madeline). He will be dearly missed.
Bob is survived by his loving sons and daughter-in-law; Robert A. and his wife Liana DiPasquale of Andover and Gregory F. DiPasquale of Arlington; sister Mary Driscoll and her husband Bill of Stoneham; grandchildren Vanessa and her husband Neal Miller and great grandchildren Sophie and Madeline, Kevin and his wife Alexandra DiPasquale, Justine DiPasquale, and David DiPasquale and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was also the brother of the late Pasquale DiPasquale Jr., Rev. Fr. Ralph DiPasquale, Edward DiPasquale, Leonard DiPasquale, and Paul DiPasquale.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11;30 am. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Wednesday, prior to the service, from 9:30 am – 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 W Central St, Natick, MA 01760.
