Obituary

Grace F. “Dolly” LaRiviere, of Medford, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 7th. She was 90. Born in Winthrop, she was the cherished daughter of the late Vincent and Theresa (Bellino) Cassaro.

Dolly was known for her radiant smile, one that could light up an entire room, and for the laughter that followed her wherever she went. Family was the center of her life. She poured her heart into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, offering love, guidance, support, and a listening ear. Gatherings were her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent surrounded by loved ones. Dolly was a devoted member of St. Raphael’s Church, serving as an Eucharistic Minister. She lived her life in faith and touched countless lives.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her “other daughters,” Karen and Dawn, for always being there for Dolly. Your love and support meant the world to her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those she missed and watching over all of us with her beautiful smile.

Dolly was the loving partner of 35 years to the late Marty Lydon. She was the devoted mother of Jeninne Alexander and her husband Danny of East Wareham, and the late Jay LaRiviere. She was the loving Grammie of Danny Alexander and his wife Kelly of Millis, Kristyn Alexander of Sagamore Beach, Adam Alexander and his wife Erin of West Wareham, Jayson LaRiviere of Lowell, and Nicky LaRiviere of Gloucester. Caring great grandmother of Madelyn, Camden, Hadley, Delaney and Caylee. She was the dear sister of the late Salvatore Cassaro. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends. Dolly’s family would like to personally thank all of the staff at the Plymouth Harbor Side for the extraordinary care and love given to Dolly.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Dolly’s family on Saturday, December 13th, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford at 11 AM.
