Lorraine A. Tiedemann, 85

Dateline: Steep Falls, Maine

Lorraine A. (Littlefield) Tiedemann, age 85, most recently of Mansfield, MA, a former longtime resident of Steep Falls, ME, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late William D. Tiedemann, to whom she was wed for thirty years at the time of his death on July 12, 2021.

Born in Newburyport, MA on November 6, 1940, she was a loving daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Shea) Littlefield.

Lorraine grew up in the town of Newburyport and was a 1958 graduate of Newburyport High School. A resident of Mansfield for the past three years she had formerly resided in Steep Falls for thirty years.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. Tiedemann had worked as an Office Clerk at the New England Rehabilitation Center in Portland, Maine. While her children were growing up, she had many fond memories of working in the Scarborough School Cafeteria and being a licensed real estate agent.

Lorraine cherished spending time with her adoring family, close friends in Steep Falls and offering kindness to others, as a volunteer at the local food pantry in Maine and, along with her late husband Bill, they were long-time volunteers for the Pan Mass Challenge.

Lorraine loved nature and had a passion for gardening, collecting rocks, and she and Bill loved to travel and spend time on the Saco River near their home.

She is survived by her devoted children, Rick Johnson and his wife Tracey of Mooresville, NC, Mark Johnson of Mooresville, NC and his late wife Barbara Johnson, Brian Johnson and his wife Lori of Mansfield and the stepmother of Kaye Tiedemann and her husband Steve of Redding, CT, Laura Barbato and her husband Phil of Clermont, FL, Karen Huddle and her husband Frank of Bedford, VA and Gail Wormwood and her husband Kevin of Limington, ME. She was the cherished grandmother of Sara, Curtis and Adam and is also survived by 8 step-grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Diana Salt and her husband Howard of Newburyport, MA and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephew. She was also the former wife of the late Richard P. Johnson.

A series in celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 19th at 1:00at the Cressey Road Christian Church in Gorham, Maine. A private burial will be planned for the Spring.
