With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Diane L. Junier (nee Droste), 59, of Greenville, RI who died at home on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Born in Cleveland Ohio, Diane was the daughter of Richard Droste (deceased) and RoseMarie Staimpel Droste.
Diane leaves behind her devoted husband of more than 35 years, Russell, and her son Dylan, who were the center of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her brother David Droste and sister Denise Saliba, as well as her nieces and nephew - Kelsey, Colin, Madison, and Brooklyn- and great-nieces and nephews James, Eliza, Theo, Rory, and Westley.
Diane’s favorite moments were Saturday mornings spent with Russ, sharing coffee and grocery shopping together. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and experimenting with new recipes and techniques. Diane’s creativity also shone through her love of crafting. She often found inspiration online and transformed those ideas into handmade treasures marked with her personal touch. Diane called these creations “I love you gifts,” and they have become a cherished token of her love across generations.
In 2009, Diane established a knitting club, which continues to meet weekly at the Greenville Public Library. It is a time for learning and sharing, but more importantly, fellowship and giving back. Under Diane’s guidance, the club has supported numerous fundraisers and events for the library and other local organizations.
Diane’s kindness and creativity will live on in the lives she touched.
In the spring, family and friends will come together to celebrate Diane’s life and remember her with love and gratitude.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to Greenville Public Library, 573 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828 www.greenvillelibraryri.org.
