Obituary

Kimberly A. Poliseno, age 59, of Carver, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 4, 2025, after an extended illness.

Kim was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to Albert M. Poliseno Sr. and Page E. (Bradshaw) Poliseno. Throughout her life, including her recent illness, Kim handled every challenge with resilience and grace. Despite her fear of flying, she found the courage (often aided by a "breakfast drink") to travel to places like Disney World, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Sint Maarten, and most recently, took a cruise to Italy. She loved to indulge in self care by getting her hair and nails done, as well as, relaxing in a tranquil salt cave. She loved shopping and giving back to others, especially through her holiday tradition of supporting the Giving Tree. Kim treasured her family above all else and found joy in lively gatherings, floating in the pool, spontaneous adventures, and all genres of music. Her favorite past times were being surrounded by her family at Sunday/holiday dinners while sipping on Pinot Grigio and retelling childhood memories.

Kim graduated from Brockton High School before earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Bridgewater State College and a Master's Degree from Fitchburg State University. She served many roles in her career at Blue Hills Regional Technical School, including her most recent and impactful work as Co-op Coordinator. Kim helped countless students earn real-world experience.

She also coached cheerleading, led the Blue Hills Ambassadors, supported the Alumni of the Month program and was a core member of the Superintendent-Director’s Student Cabinet. As a longtime Rotarian, she lived the motto ‘Service Above Self’ not only in words, but in every action, every day.

Kim is survived by her loving husband Michael K. Sheehan, her daughter Amelia Poliseno Grant of Dartmouth, her stepdaughters Carly, Isabella, and Sydney Sheehan all of Carver. In addition, she leaves her brother Michael Poliseno and his wife Jackie of Hanover, her brother Dean Poliseno and his companion Sue Little of Sharon, and her sister Karen Poliseno of Carver. Kim is also remembered fondly by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the Cardiothoracic ICU team at Tufts Medical Center. Their expertise and compassion were evident in the care they provided to Kim and her family during
our most difficult time. The dedication and support shown by the staff brought comfort and reassurance to the family, and their kindness will always be remembered with gratitude.

Visitation will take place at Conley Funeral Home in Brockton, MA on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Her funeral service will begin at 1 pm at the funeral home.
