Rev. Patrick William Crough, (Pastor Pat), was suddenly called home on December 1, 2025 at the age of 67. He was the husband of Judith (Gilbert) Crough, they shared 37 years of marriage. Rev. Crough was born in Clifton Springs, NY, son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Phillips) Crough.
He and his wife Judy recently moved to Warwick, Rhode Island after announcing his retirement in ministry at the First Baptist Church in Tiverton Rhode Island, where he faithfully served for 29yrs. He was Judy's devoted and cherished husband, father to Amanda and Tim, and grandfather to Anya (Max), Chase and Ryder.
He also leaves behind his sister: Sarah Oberhofer, brother: Raymond Crough and his wife Linda, along with many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed bird watching, woodworking, gardening and playing the video game Age of Empires. He especially enjoyed playing games and building with his grandsons and taking drives with Max. He and his daughter Amanda always looked forward to their "deer hunts" where they would ride around trying to spot deer. His greatest joy was being with family and he will be remembered as being a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Pastor Pat will be missed by many whose lives he touched over the years in ministry and friendship. Our hearts are broken because we will miss his infectious laughter, sense of humor and words of wisdom and compassion. His faith was unwavering in our Heavenly Father and although his journey on earth is complete, we have confidence, it is just beginning in Heaven.
We will celebrate his life on Saturday, December 13th at the First Baptist Old Stone Church, Tiverton at 11am with a reception following at the church Fellowship Hall, all are welcome.
Pat and his family were appreciative of all the love and support he received from others over the years.
