Donald Victor Berube, 79, of East Derry, NH passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025 while vacationing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Don was born July 18, 1946, in Lawrence, MA and was a son of the late Victor and Dorothy (McClelland) Berube. He was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA eventually settling down in Derry, NH.
After years of experience as a warehouse manager, Don served as a materials manager at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, for eight and a half years. Don was known throughout his community as a hardworking and deeply respected man who brought genuine care and interest to every interaction. He had an extraordinary gift for connection—whether speaking with a longtime friend or someone he'd just met, Don had a remarkable way of finding common ground, often discovering he knew them or someone in their life through his wide network of relationships built over a lifetime.
Above all else, Don's greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a constant presence in their lives, never missing an opportunity to call or text, to cheer from the sidelines at his grandchildren's games, or to share with anyone who would listen just how proud he was of each family member. Simply being surrounded by those he loved brought Don his deepest happiness.
A kid at heart, Don was a devoted Disney enthusiast who found magic in every visit to Disney World. He treasured his collection of Mickey Mouse watches, each one a memento of the joy and wonder he found there. Don also embraced the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle and had a passion for old car shows, where he could admire classic craftsmanship and swap stories with fellow enthusiasts.
Members of the family include two sons and their spouses, Mark Berube and his wife Fatima and Kyle Berube and his wife Casey; two daughters Dana Leith and her fiance David Clarke and Kacie Melo and her fiance Derek Boyd, seven grandchildren, Katie, Mathieu, Kelsie, Olivia, Quinn, Grey, and Vivian. Don was predeceased by his brother Russell Berube and also leaves behind a sister, Adele Keyes, as well as a brother Ed Berube.
Following cremation, a visitation is planned for Monday December 15, 2025, from 4 to 6pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX. 75281-0692
