Wallace C. Marden, 74, of New Bedford died September 4, 2006 at home after a long illness.
Born in Gay Head, Martha's Vineyard, the son of the late Willard M. and Agnes May (Jeffers) Marden, he had lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
He was a member of the Wampanoag Tribe in Aquinnah. He enjoyed watching wrestling.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Louann Molleo and Theresa Marden, both of New Bedford; 4 brothers, Willard Marden, Jr., of Teaticket, and Herbert Marden, Leroy Marden and Lloyd Marden, all of New Bedford; a sister, Anna Monteiro of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Stanley Marden, William Marden, Marshall Marden, Robert Marden, Donald Marden and Richard Marden.
His Funeral Service will held on Thursday, September 7th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday, September 6th from 6-8 PM.
