Obituary

Robert (Bob) J. Wisnaskas, 76, of Whitman, Massachusetts, died of natural causes at his home on November 28, 2025.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1949 and fourth child of John Wisnaskas and Edith (Card) Wisnaskas, he graduated from South Boston Highschool in 1967 and spent three years as an aviation technician in the United States Navy before embarking on a career as a cabinetmaker and millworker that included a long tenure at the Fabrizio Corporation. He was also a proud member of the Shop and Millmen Local #51 Union and the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. His immense talent and work ethic were matched by exceptional technical skill and precision. His ability to build and sustain was reflected in his unwavering devotion to his family.

He loved science fiction, camping, fishing, the ocean, and telling stories about his time in the Navy as well as his childhood at Columbia Point in Dorchester. He took tremendous pride in his daughter Annie’s service in the United States Army and wholeheartedly embraced the spirited Army–Navy rivalry.

He was the loving husband of Kristina (Tina) (Lang) Wisnaskas and the brother of the late John Wisnaskas, William Wisnaskas, Ellen (Wisnaskas) Quirk, Donald Wisnaskas, Judy (Wisnaskas) Gray, Ann (Wisnaskas) Barrar, Joseph Wisnaskas, and Thomas Wisnaskas. He was the brother-in-law of Carol (Hamilton) Hamer, David Lang, the late William Lang, the late Donald Lang, and Michael Lang. He leaves behind three children, Matthew Wisnaskas and his wife Kelly of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, Sgt. Annie Wisnaskas of Whitman, Massachusetts, and Jonathan (J.R.) Wisnaskas and his wife Angela of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, as well as four rambunctious grandsons, Dylan, Gabriel, Nolan, and Samuel. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
