
Peter Chabot, 63, of Wellesley, MA, with family by his side, died at home on November 28, 2025. Pete was born April 10, 1962 in Summit, N.J. He was the fifth of five children born to his parents Mildred and Charles Chabot. He is predeceased by his oldest brother Charles Barry Chabot (Susan), and survived by his siblings Valerie Cohen (Steven, also deceased), Wendy Chabot (Ken), Robert Chabot (Patti), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pete attended elementary school in Wellesley and graduated from Wellesley High School in 1980. He went on to receive training as a computer technician and spent much of his professional career in related fields. During his life, Pete, who was also known as “Chabootie”, developed enduring friendships that lasted to the time of his death from heart failure and lymphoma. He was known for his intelligence, immense heart, high energy, and quick wit. With sparkling blue eyes, and an often mischievous smile, nothing made Pete happier than bringing delight and laughter to others. He loved the outdoors, Cape Cod, animals, especially Cecil, his yellow Labrador and partner in crime, and his innumerable photos of the people and places he loved.
Family and friends are invited to his memorial service at 1 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home at 477 Washington St, Wellesley, MA 02482.
Instead of flowers, Pete and the family encourage you to donate to The American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org), Good Shepherd Community Care (gscommunitycare.org), or the hospice of your choice in his name.
