Paul E. Bailey, 82, of Tewksbury, MA passed away from cancer peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was born on July 27, 1943 in Boston MA to George H. and Catherine T. (Carney) Bailey.
Paul grew up in Medford, MA. He graduated from Malden Catholic High School in 1961. He did some undergraduate work at Northeastern University, and then graduated from The University of Massachusetts at Lowell with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
Paul had a long and successful career as Vice President at Red Ball Inc. He was a member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks for 34 years. He cherished his family and was a fixture at his children’s soccer, softball, and baseball games. He coached his son’s baseball games for many years. He enjoyed his yearly ski trips with his children.
He loved all sports and enthusiastically supported the Red Sox, Patriots and his all-time favorite: Notre Dame. As an avid golfer, he enjoyed playing courses all over the country and was thrilled to introduce golf to his four grandsons. When he could no longer play, he enjoyed reminiscing about those cherished rounds with them. He was a very loving and supportive grandfather in all aspects of his grandsons’ lives whether athletic, academic, or cultural. He attended every one of his grandsons’ baseball and lacrosse games. Paul was very social and made friends wherever he went. His generosity with both his time and money will always be remembered.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sandra, daughter Christine Mikule and her husband Keith (Brewster, MA), daughter Sharon Bailey, (Litchfield, NH) and beloved cherished grandsons Bailey, Ryan, Gavin and Preston. His only son, Paul, predeceased him at the age of 22. He leaves his brother George H. Bailey and his wife Violaine (Medford, MA), his niece Dr. Rosemary Bailey Foong (Brooklyn, NY) and George F. Bailey (Irving, Texas).
We extend a special thank you to the medical doctors in the ER, physician assistants, and all the nurses and nursing assistants on Mugar 3 at Cape Cod Hospital who provided exceptional care and concern for Paul in his last days. We are forever grateful to you.
