Our dear mother, Ann Massard, of Wellesley Hills and Sagamore Beach, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 25, 2025. She was the loving wife of Robert Louis Massard who passed in 2013, with 63 wonderful years together. Born in Cambridge on August 24, 1926, Massachusetts to John and Ann Connor, their family of six moved to Stoneham, Randolph and Newton during the tough times of the Depression. Ann graduated from Newton High School in 1944 and worked as a secretary at Boston University and MIT where she met a certain promising graduate student working on the Whirlwind Computer project. Ann and Bob were married in 1950, and he was one of the engineer-founders of Computer Control Company (3C) in 1953, and then Financial-Technical Assistance (Fin-Tech) in 1969. After their first tiny house in Natick, they happily lived at their first home in Wellesley. As the family grew, they moved nearby where Ann was able to live her final years with the heartfelt, compassionate care of Catherine McGee and weekly visits from her children. Ann loved to sing and she instilled that love of music in all of her children and grandchildren. She sang in Youth on Parade for many years before she was married, and in the choir at St. John.
Mom will be dearly missed by all of her family: Victoria McCormick (husband Stephen) of Shelburne Falls, MA; Pamela Tisch (husband David) of Lake Luzerne, NY and Sarasota, FL; Gregg Massard (wife Jonanne) of Mashpee, MA and Wendy Hakken (husband Joel) of Burlington, VT. She is survived by nine loving grandchildren: Matt McCormick, Tim McCormick, Erich (Alison) Tisch, Emilie Tisch Delaney (Matt), Gretchen Tisch, Andrew (Joele) Massard, Julia Massard Powers (Kyle), Dillon Hakken (fiancée Kassiana Revious), and Darby Hakken. She is survived by seven wonderful great grandchildren: Jasper & Cora Tisch, Will & Bo Delaney, Ariella & Jacqueline Massard and Madeline Powers.
