MANCINI, Emidio Longtime resident of Dedham, originally of the small mountain village Agelli, Roccafluvione, Italy, passed away on November 26, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Iolanda M. (DellaGuardia) Mancini. Devoted father of Diane Lombardi and her husband Paul of Wells, ME., and the late Edward J. Mancini. Loving Nonno of Dominic, Christina, and Maria Lombardi. Great Nonno of Jolene and Reese Lombardi. Dear brother of Eleanora Sabatucci, Vincenza Forlini, Giovanna Pignotti, Sesto Mancini, and the late Marino Mancini. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Emidio was a devoted family man who proudly worked for and retired from the MBTA. Emidio also served as a Dedham Auxiliary Police officer. His pastimes were many and varied: gardening, golfing and tinkering to name a few. ( There was nothing he couldn't fix or make). Emidio was a shining exhibit of health and vigor inspiring many. He spent countless hours at the Vanderbilt Club as a member and a beloved part of the staff. Those who knew Emidio will remember him for his infectious smile, overwhelming laughter and unwavering commitment to helping others. He will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home 456 High St. Dedham on Wednesday, December 3rd from 3-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, December 4th at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10am (accessible parking in the rear of the church) .
