Leroy McElmurray, 92, of Wilcox County, Georgia, died Friday, November 28, 2025, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in Turner County, Georgia, with the Rev. Jay Moore officiating. The family will greet friends following the services at the cemetery.
Mr. McElmurray was born November 8, 1933, in Turner County, Georgia, to the late Floyd & Effie Harvey McElmurray. He graduated from Rebecca High School and was a farmer most of his life. He enjoyed raising cattle, fishing and hunting foxes and coons. Mr. McElmurray was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Turner County, Georgia.
He is survived by his son, Mike McElmurray; two daughters: Cheryl Owens and Cindy & Andy Owen; grandchildren: Eric Owens & Kandi and Cole Brewer & Randi; great-grandchildren: Makenzie Owens, Mallorie Owens and Maddilyn Owens; a sister, Virginia Watson and a brother, Ike McElmurray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Staci Barnard and a sister, Martha McElmurray Rucker.
