Obituary


Mary R. Tucker, of Woburn passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Aberjona Nursing Care Center in Winchester, following a period of declining health. She was 84. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Martin F. Tucker, Jr. Born in Dorchester and raised in Woburn, Mary was one of two daughters born to the late John and Ruth (Martin) McNamara.

Mary was a graduate of the Cardinal Cushing High School in Boston, class of 1958. Affectionately known as "Bobbi" to family and friends, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Bobbi did work for a number of years as a cafeteria assistant with the Woburn Public schools while her children were young and attending school. Later in life she cherished helping to care for her grandchildren whom she adored and loved to spend time with. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and those she loved. Over the years Bobbi along with her late husband enjoyed day trips to Ogunquit Beach, Maine as well as many family summer vacations spent at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. In her leisure time Bobbi also enjoyed crafting ceramics and was an avid and voracious reader. She will be greatly missed.

Bobbi is survived by her devoted children; John M. Tucker and his wife Laura of Woburn, Katie Manzella and her husband Rob of Reading, James M. Tucker and his wife Bianca Vareschi of Milbury, and Matthew P. Tucker and his wife Danielle of Wilmington. She was the loving grandmother of Crispin and Austin Trubiano, Grace and Abby Manzella, Olivia, Liam, Emerson, Jake, and Maddie Tucker. Cherished sister of Betty Riley and her husband Joe of Stoneham. Further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Tuesday, December 2nd, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted in the Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 3rd, at 10 a.m., again family and friends respectfully invited. Services will conclude with interment at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions in Mary's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
