Obituary

Debra Joyce McKinney-Wagner, 72, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Everett Hospital after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger McKinney-Wagner, who passed in 2020 after sixteen years of marriage.

Born on August 3, 1953, in St. Albans, Vermont, Debra was the daughter of the late Harley Young and the late Joyce (Greenier) Young. She grew up in St. Albans,before her family relocated to Massachusetts. Over the years she lived in various cities throughout the Merrimack valley, and even spent a period of time in Texas and New Mexico, though Lowell, Massachusetts was always home for most of her life.

She was always one to strike up a conversation, and thoroughly enjoyed socializing with her friends at the Lighthouse Nursing center in Revere. Among her many talents she was once an accomplished artist, and as a student of Nashoba Valley Technical High School assisted in the design of the school logo at that time. In her later years nothing brought her more happiness than watching a good television show, while enjoying takeout from her favorite restaurants.

Debra is survived by her children, Megan O’Toole and her husband Robert of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Korey McKinney and his wife Adelle of Mahwah, New Jersey. She also leaves her brother Roland Young Sr. of Concord, New Hampshire. She is additionally survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, relatives and friends are welcome to attend her funeral service, please meet at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 01852 between 9 & 9:30 for procession to Saint Joseph Cemetery for her funeral Service at 10am.
