Michael Francis Newell, age 97 of Dedham, MA, formerly of Milton, MA and originally from Headford County Galway, Ireland. Died November 22, 2025 surrounded by family and many loving cousins. Beloved husband of Eileen (O’Donnell) Newell for 63 years. Loving father of Michael P. Newell and his wife Natalie of Amesbury and Sean Newell and his wife Diane of Braintree. Cherished Grandfather to Brendan, Sean, Riley, and Thomas. Dear Brother to Josie Mckenna of Dublin, the late Peggy O’Grady, the late Mary Mitchell, the late Patrick Newell, the late John Newell, Bob Newell of Headford Galway, the late Francis Coen, and Ann Marie Dundon of Medfield MA.
Mike immigrated from Ireland in 1953, was an active member of the Irish Cultural Center and an avid ball-room dancer with many friends throughout the years.
Visiting hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Friday, November 28th from 3-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, November 29th at 8:30am. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 9:30am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited.
