Edward D. Forman, 84, of Sandwich, Cape Cod, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, with his daughter and son-in-law by his side.
Born to Irving and Gertrude Forman, Edward was predeceased by his parents and his beloved sisters: Joan Hager (and her husband Leonard), Vondelle Bates (and her husband Carlton), Dorothy Burk, and Arlene Merline (and her husband Anthony).
Edward is survived by his loving children, many nieces and nephews, and his loyal companion, Jack—his dog, who rarely left his side.
A proud and spirited man, Edward lived a full and colorful life. Over the years, he worked in many trades and roles — from carpenter to dedicated bodybuilder, from bodyguard for famous personalities to owner of a limo service. No matter the role, he brought his trademark energy, loyalty, and dedication.
Edward especially loved carpentry. He could build just about anything, and he never hesitated to help others — whether they needed a repair, a ride, or simply someone to talk to. He enjoyed music and singing, spending time at the beach, working out at the gym, especially boxing.
He treasured his friendships and stayed close with many of his childhood friends throughout his life, a true testament to his loyalty and the impact he had on those around him. His neighbors were also special to him, and he appreciated their friendship, kindness, and support.
Edward and his family would also like to express heartfelt gratitude to his wonderful, loving home health nurses, whose care, compassion, and kindness meant so much to him.
Those who knew Edward will remember his strength, humor, generosity, and his big heart. If he cared about you, he showed it.
Honoring Edward’s wishes, services were private, and his ashes will be spread by family in a place he loved and where he found peace.
