Obituary

Hugh Sutherland Fagan, age 66, passed away on November 21st, 2025 after a courageous battle. He chose to pass at home, on his own terms, surrounded by the love of those who cherished him. Born on 12/19/1958 in Glasgow Scotland. He lived a life marked by grit, sarcasm, loyalty, and a deep commitment to the people he loved.
He was a man who didn’t just show up—he showed up fully. Whether it was family, work, or the quiet acts of service no one ever heard about, he put his whole heart into the things that mattered. His presence was steady. His word meant something. And his love was real.
He leaves behind his wife Roberta Fagan, son and daughter in law Paul & Amanda Fagan, Son Tyson Sears, daughter Cassandra Sutherland & grandson Storm Siciliano. As well as siblings Paul Fagan and his wife Annette Fagan & Sandra and Jim Irvine, rooted in Glasgow, Scotland, who adored him beyond measure and will forever carry his strength, his stubborn spark, and his resilience within them.
He will be remembered for his sharp wit, his hardworking nature, and the way he could make people feel safe just by being in the room. He taught those around him what it means to keep going—even when life asks more of you than you think you have.
Though his time here ended sooner than anyone wanted, the impact he made will continue to ripple through the lives he touched. His legacy lives on in his family, in the stories that will be retold for years, and in the quiet strength he has passed on.
A viewing will be held on November 25th 2025 at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic, from 4pm - 6pm, bagpipe send off from 530pm-6pm.
May he rest in peace, finally free of pain, reunited with the ones who passed before him.
