Oxford - Robert “Bob” Bernier Sr. Robert “Bob” Bernier Sr., 77, passed away peacefully at The Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, MA on 11/22/2025 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born on May 15, 1948, to Richard and Eleanor Bernier, Bob lived a life defined by devotion to family, service, and quiet kindness.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Suzanne; his children Nicolle Reidy, Robert Bernier, and Brent Bernier; and his sister Karen Hogan. Bob’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren—Zachary and Matthew Beland, Connor Reidy, Andrew, Jacob, and Emma Bernier—and his great-grandchildren, Payton and Tanner Beland, along with several nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Eleanor Bernier, and his brother, Richard.
Bob earned his engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and dedicated more than four decades to Morgan Construction Company as a draftsman before retiring. He proudly served in the Army National Guard and was deeply committed to his community as a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, where he held the role of Grand Knight. He also belonged to the Chester P. Tuttle Post and the Auburn Elks.
At home, Bob found joy in simple pleasures—tending to his yard, tackling projects big and small, and sharing country drives and long walks with Sue. Known for his gentle spirit and mild manner, Bob’s kindness touched everyone who knew him.
Though Parkinson’s limited his ability to play with his grandchildren, his love for them—and for his entire family—was boundless. Bob’s greatest pride and joy was the family he built and nurtured with all his heart.
