
Kay Phillips, 60, of Irwinville, Georgia, died Thursday, November 20, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Sunday, November 23, 2025, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Irwinville Cemetery, in Irwinville, Georgia, with Lee Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Phillips was born March 13, 1965, in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Hal & Louise Benson Taylor. She graduated from Jefferson County High School and later received her Surgical Tech degree from East Central Technical College. Mrs. Phillips worked as a scrub tech for Irwin County Hospital, managed a daycare and was a homemaker. She loved her grandchildren, watching sports, riding golf carts and going to the beach. She was of the Church of God faith.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Charles Phillips of Irwinville; three sons: Chase Phillips of Irwinville, Scott Phillips & Kayla of Irwinville and Austin Phillips & Miki of Norfolk, Virginia; grandchildren: Christian Phillips, Emersyn Kay Phillips, Lawsyn Kate Phillips, Audrey Phillips, Marion Ada Phillips and Brooklyn Gordon; two brothers: Hal Taylor & Sherry of Kodak, Tennessee and Joseph Taylor & Tammy of Jefferson City, Tennessee and a sister, Sabrina Fields of Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive, including Abbie Davis who was a special caregiver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Taylor.
