Walsh and his wife, Jill of Worcester; her brother, Michael J. Christy and his wife, Linda of Oxford; two grandchildren, Nicole and Derek and his wife, Lily; two nieces, Stephanie Kennedy and Michelle Suklis. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Sundance Walsh and her brother Kevin Christy.
Born in Worcester, Kathleen was the daughter of Joseph M. and Mary (Baker) Christy. She was a graduate of the former High School of Commerce and a devoted member of St. Peter’s Church.
Kathleen enjoyed a fulfilling career with NSTAR, formerly ComGas from January 8,1985 thru August 25, 2006, where she worked as a dispatch clerk, in building and grounds and retired as a planning clerk. She took great pride in her work and the many friendships she formed along the way.
She enjoyed a life rich with family, friendship, and simple pleasures. She treasured time spent with the people she loved most—whether gathering for celebrations, sharing stories, or simply being together. Some of her happiest moments were her trips to the beach, especially Hampton and Ogunquit, where she found peace in the ocean air and comfort in familiar traditions.
A lifelong music lover, Kathleen especially adored classic rock and the timeless voice of Elvis Presley. Music was her constant companion and a soundtrack to many cherished memories.
Kathleen had a warm, magnetic personality that drew people of all ages to her. She had a remarkable way of connecting with others—bringing comfort, laughter, and understanding wherever she went. Her love for animals was another defining part of her spirit, and she held a special affection for her beloved granddogs, Rusty and Max..
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care for the compassion, kindness, and exceptional care Kathleen received.
Kathleen leaves behind family and friends who will forever remember her kindness, her humor, and the joy she brought into their lives.
