Obituary

LIMERICK- Stephen Michael Krebs was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on November 18, 2025. Stephen was taken from us too soon by metastatic cancer; he was 68 years old. His last days were peaceful and we are so grateful for the care he received in his last days from the wonderful staff of Gosnell Hospice House. We cannot thank you enough. Stephen was born on May 18, 1957, in Westbrook, the son of Lamar G. Krebs and Joanne Martha Livingston. He graduated from Sacopee Valley High School in 1975. He went to work performing carpentry and finish carpentry building fine, handmade furniture for many years. He enjoyed working on restorations of antique homes. He was a master carpenter, specializing in reproducing period pieces and designing his own for his home and children throughout the years. Later he delivered medical supplies, including deliveries to hospice facilities where he was able to pray with patients there. He retired in 2018. His true vocation was mechanics and carpentry. Cars were a passion. As Kristie notes: "He was a DIY man, taking care of his home and his Volvo automobiles." Stephen could keep a car running deep into the odometer like nobody else - Kristie never worried about getting to work as Stephen was there to bolt on a new alternator or change out the brakes. He didn't just fix them, he curated vintage vehicles. Stephen also loved the outdoors - hiking, finding the right spot to see a sunset, and relishing the freedom of his motorcycle. But his true passion was his faith and family. He loved his children, grandchildren and siblings. He was a man of deep faith - it never failed him even as he faced his ultimate challenge. And he loved his wife Kristie with abiding joy and affection - she was and continues to be his soulmate forever. Stephen was predeceased by his parents. In addition to his loving wife Kristie, he is survived by his children Amber Krebs, Sarah Gann, Caleb Krebs, Joel Krebs and Josiah Krebs, his five grandchildren. Raven, Raymond, Ruby, Victor, Lucas and stepson James Blynn. He is also survived by his siblings, Penni Ondreyko, Deb Mann, Jodi Crose-Debaker, Jeff Krebs and Pete Chabot. All are invited to a celebration of Stephen's life at 11AM on Saturday December 13, 2025 at the Faith Christian Church, 143 Washington Street, Limerick.
