
Lottie Pearl Huggins Stokes, 93, of Kingsland, Georgia, died Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, November 23, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Steve Stokes officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
“Mammy” as she was called by all her grands and many others that simply knew her, was born October 26, 1932, in Rebecca, Georgia to the late Valentine Webster and Eva Core Huggins. She had lived in several Georgia cities including Screven, Fitzgerald, Pinehurst, Ocilla and finally in Kingsland. She was a most faithful and diligent wife to the late Emory Lewis Stokes and raised three children, Michael and Teresa Davis Stokes (Kingsland), Steve and Melanie Miller Stokes (Mart, TX) and Angie Hammock (Kingsland). Then there were seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren that all adored Mammy. A brother, Dwight Huggins of Fitzgerald and a whole passel of nephews and nieces on both sides also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Huggins.
