WORCESTER__ Geraldine A. (Collins) LaCourse, 68, formerly of Seabury Heights in Worcester, died on Friday, September 1, in Autumn Village Nursing Center, 25 Oriol Dr.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth G. LaCourse, Jr. and his wife Susan of Douglas and Derek F. LaCourse and his wife Donna of Rochdale; a daughter, Laura F. LaCourse and her husband Christopher Simmons of Worcester; a brother Kendall Collins of Chicopee; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, her longtime companion of 30 years, Joseph Saikitis of Auburn, a close friend Janet Elkind of Bolton and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Joan Allen and Deb LaCourse, two brothers Calvin Collins and Larry Collins, a great-grandchild Kenneth Allen and her former husband, Kenneth G. LaCourse Sr.
Geraldine was born in Springfield, MA., a daughter of Francis A. and Christine T. (Kendall) Collins and lived in Worcester most of her life.
She was a nurse’s aide working at the former Providence House Nursing Home for 30 years. Geraldine was a former member of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 6, from DIRSA- MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. John Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday September 6 from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
