
David S. Stinchfield, 84, of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lisbon, Maine, son of the late Stanley L. and Gertrude Stinchfield, David built a meaningful life marked by devotion, quiet strength and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
David is survived by his partner of 28 years, Terry Ann Caton, with whom he shared deep companionship, love and many cherished memories. He was a beloved presence in the lives of his three step-daughters: Lisa, her husband Jeffrey Hermengildo; Sara and her husband Steven Tabares; and Amy Caton and her partner Andrew Medeiros. He embraced them as his own, offering steady support, kindness and guidance.
He was a proud grandfather to Matthew Donovan and fiancée Adaria Watson; Colin and Ava Hermengildo; and Ethan and Caden Tabares. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren; Aaliyah Demenezes and Grayson Donovan, who brought him immense joy.
David will be remembered for the warmth he extended to others, the loyalty he showed his family and the quiet humor and resilience that shaped his life. His presence was a source of comfort and his memory will remain a lasting gift to all those he loved.
