
James Cordeiro, Jr., 60, of Westport passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Arline (Burke) Cordeiro, they were married for 34 years.
Born in Taunton, son of Diane (Webster) Cordeiro of Somerset and the late James Cordeiro, Sr., he had lived in Westport for the last 34 years. He was a salesman for Cleary Millworking Somerset and had worked for Bucksworth Lumber in Berkley. Mr. Cordeiro was a Freemason with the Mount Hope Lodge AF & AM of Fall River, where he held the position of Junior Warden and was a devoted Shriner. He was involved with DeMolay International, which mentors Junior Masons. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed classic car shows and NASCAR, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandson.
Including his mother and wife, he is survived by a son: Philip J. Cordeiro of Westport; daughter: Kacey L. Vicino and her husband Matthew of Mattapoisett; 3 brothers: David Cordeiro of GA, Jeff Cordeiro of Somerset and Donnie Cordeiro and his wife Paula of Fall River; grandson: Mason J. Vicino; and several nieces and nephews.
