She was the loving and devoted mother of Eugene McCarthy and his wife Stephanie of Dedham; Tricia Kalayjian and her husband Ara of Hyde Park; Timothy W. McCarthy and his wife Beth of Walpole; and Tracey McCarthy of Roslindale.

Pat was the loving Nana to her eight grandchildren: Daniel Kalayjian, Ryan Kalayjian and his wife Gabriella, Christopher Kalayjian, Kylie McCarthy, Michael McCarthy, Shealynn McCarthy, Allison McCarthy, and Timothy D. McCarthy. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Pat, a proud coal miner's daughter, found some of her greatest joys in the simplest parts of life. She loved her morning coffee, was a loyal listener of old country music and a devoted weekly follower of the Irish Hit Parade, and cherished her hobbies of baking, crocheting, gardening, and painting. Above all, she treasured being a mother. She took immense pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren, and she loved preserving the moments that mattered most- carefully saving birthday and Mother’s Day cards, holiday décor, her children’s crafts and artwork, school and sporting awards, baby books, and family photos.
