Born and raised in South Boston, he formed lifelong friendships with Michael Kelly, George Rull and Larry Heafey, those bonds stood strong through every stage of life. To know him was to know loyalty, kindness and the simple joy of good company.
A proud U.S. Navy Veteran, he honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. Beyond his service, he was known as a man of few words but a heart full of love.
Music was one of his greatest joys, and his home was forever filled with the sounds of The Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffett and Toby Keith. Those songs became the backdrop of family gatherings and everyday moments alike, a soundtrack his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews grew up with and will carry in their hearts always.
Jack was an avid Boston sports fan, finding joy in every Red Sox win, every Patriots Sunday, and every Bruins and Celtics season. Cheering for his teams was another great pleasure that he enjoyed.
We will miss him more than words can ever say, but we are grateful for every moment we had together. In his honor, turn up the music, raise a glass and sing your heart out- just as he would have wanted. “Rock on Ole Boy”
