John Santo Diaferio, born April 14th 1963 of West Roxbury Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on November 12th, 2025. John was known for his big heart, quick humor, and the warmth he brought into every room.
His kindness, loyalty, and ability to make others laugh are gifts he shared freely with everyone who truly knew him.
John was a devoted father to his two children, Anthony and Jillian, whom he loved beyond measure. One of John’s greatest joys was his two grandsons, AJ and Ambrose. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Anne, Judy, and Patty, who held a special place in his life and heart.
He also was a loving uncle to Matthew Howe, Michael Howe, Nicole McAvoy and the late Edgard Ciampa
A cherished son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, John will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the joy he brought to others and the love he carried throughout his life.
Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate John’s life on Wednesday, November 19th, at Casper Funeral HOME, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston from 3:00PM - 6:00PM.
