John C. Morango, Jr., 93, of Dartmouth, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Vantage Health and Rehab of New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Rita (Freitas) Morango, they shared 70 years of marriage.
Mr. Morango was born in Fall River, son of the late John C. Morango and Georgelina (Pacheco) Morango and had resided in Dartmouth since 1961. Prior to retirement, he worked in construction as a roofer. He had also worked as a custodian at Dartmouth High School and St. George Church, where he was also a communicant.
Survivors include his 2 sons: John Morango III of Dartmouth and Frank Morango of NJ; his 2 daughters: Cynthia Morango of Dartmouth and Diane Morango of Fall River; 3 grandchildren: Robert Morango, Michael Morango and Leanne Morango; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late James Morango and Gilbert Morango.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Memorial visitation will be Friday from 10-11 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
