Virginia “Ginny” (Mills) Camoreyt of Medfield, formerly of Medway, passed away after a brief illness surrounded by family on Monday, November 10, 2025.
Ginny was a devoted wife to her husband of 45 years, Lucien Camoreyt, who passed in 2024.
Ginny was born in Newton, Massachusetts on February 3, 1935 to James and Agnes (Brown) Mills. Ginny grew up in Needham, Massachusetts. She graduated Needham High School and attended Framingham Teachers College.
Ginny found joy in many hobbies including gardening, reading, painting, and sewing. She enjoyed the beach and traveling. Ginny loved people. She never met a stranger she didn’t know. As large as her family was, there was always room for one more. Her home was a welcoming place for friends and neighbors.
Ginny never faced an insurmountable crisis. She was unflappable during difficult occasions. She was a constant source of strength to her children. She was there to hold us, guide us and, more than once, carry us.
Those of us lucky to call her mom include Dawn Fiori of Medway; Vincent “Stephen” Fiori of Hyannis; Kevin (Deborah) Fiori, Susan Hafford, and Julie Fiori, all of Millis; Christopher (Stephanne) Fiori of Lancaster; Andrea Fiori of Nashua, New Hampshire; daughter-in-law, Donna Fiori, wife of the late James Fiori of Medway, and her stepchildren, Denise (Michael) Petito of Vassalboro, Maine; Nancy Gonzalez of Margate, Florida; Anthony “Tony” (Christine) Camoreyt of Worcester, Massachusetts.
Ginny is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Kenneth Kelliher of Englewood, Florida. She is predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Andrew Hancock, and her brother and sister-in-law, James and Mary Mills.
Ginny will be greatly missed by her 29 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, many who will remember and cherish going on their magic carpet rides with Grandma/GiGi/Triple G. She is also survived by many other dear family members and friends.
Her family wishes to convey a very special thank you to the staff at Senior Helpers, Thomas Upham House, and Family and Faith Hospice for the wonderful level of care and compassion they provided Ginny in her last years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday November 20 from 4– 7 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway ginleyfuneralhomes.com
