Kevin B. Schwede, age 76, of Mansfield, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, November 10, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Ahern) Schwede, to whom he was happily wed for the past thirty-four years.
Born in Boston, MA on December 31, 1948, he was a loving son of the late Joseph P. Schwede and Jane (Donnelly) Polley.
Kevin grew up in Boston and later moved to Hull, where he was a graduate of Hull High School. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past thirty-two years and prior to retiring was in banking, a career that spanned over forty years. At the time of his retirement, he was employed at Eastern Bank.
Kevin was a former member of the Quincy Elks and the Moose Club in Yarmouth. Summering on beautiful Cape Cod was a favorite time he and Dot shared together, as well as cruises and vacationing with family and friends alike.
In addition to his beloved wife, he was the much-loved brother-in-law of Jerry Ahern of South Dennis, MA, Kathy Chipman of Canton, MA, Bill Ahern of Oldsmar, Florida, Donna and John Harrington of Mansfield, MA and Tricia and Mike Kraas of Feeding Hills, MA. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, November 18th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Burial will take privately at a later date at the Hull Village Cemetery in Hull.
