Obituary

Lillian A. (Knox) (McAllister) DiGiorgio, age 77, a resident of Tewksbury for the past six years, formerly of Malden and the North End, passed away at her home in the care of her family and hospice on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of John L. “The Bear” DiGiorgio, who passed away on December 31, 1997, and former wife of the late Willim F. McAllister, who passed away on August 19, 2022.

Born in Cambridge on February 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late John F. Knox and the late Marie R. (Tobin) Knox.

Lillian was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High & Latin School.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as Admissions Director by the North Bennett Street Industrial School, where she worked for 40 years.

Lillian enjoyed traveling to Aruba, her Saturday night outings with her brother and sister, and spending time with her close friends Darlene and Stephanie.

She is survived by her two children, William J. McAllister and his wife Caroline and Tammy M. Jollimore and her husband Brian, all of Tewksbury: four grandchildren, William and Brett McAllister and Patrick and Erin Jollimore. Lillian was the sister of Ellen Beckett, of North Carolina, Rosemary Polito and her late husband Peter, of Pepperell, and Michael Knox and his wife Donna, of Malden. She has many nieces, nephews and extended family members including her late husband John’s children and their families, Karen Burke and her husband Stephen and their children, Declan and Chloe, the late Norine Souris and her surviving children, Nicholas and John Michael Souris: and John L. DiGiorgio, Jr.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 12, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. There are No Funeral Services.
