Frederick (Fred) J. Moran 44, of Franklin MA peacefully passed away in his sleep, in the early morning hours of November 4th, 2025.
Fred was born and raised in Framingham MA before moving to Mendon where he graduated high school and attended college. With many passions, he chose a career in refrigeration.
For those who knew Fred saw and loved his many layers. His most seen layer was his love for everything black and Halloween. No matter the time of year Fred’s Halloween decorations were out for everyone to enjoy. He had a passion for music which was anywhere between creating music on his guitar to rocking out to his favorite metal/alternative rock bands.
Fred’s next layer was his clown self. Fred was one of the funniest guys around. He had a talent for memorizing lines from his favorite movies/shows and was not afraid to sprinkle them into any conversation. He was also no stranger to the sci-fi world, including his love for Star Wars and Batman.
Fred was also known for his interest in camping, fishing, his dirt bike, and cooking.
Fred’s deepest and true layer was pure, compassionate, and loving. He loved his family and friends with everything he had. He loved nothing more than having everyone he loved in one room. Which he got from his late Grandfather Ed Moran II.
He is survived by his Mother Robin Friberg, brother Zach Friberg, sister Katie and her husband Chris Larson, Grandmother Diane Moran, Aunt Karen Motta, Uncle Ed Moran III, his extended family Wilfred Olmeda and Margarita, and many friends.
A service will be held Saturday November 15th 2025, from 12:00-2:00 at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home located at 33 Cottage St, Franklin, MA 02038.
Fred’s loving light will live on in everyone that knew and loved him.
