James P. Murphy (Jim) 73, of Quincy, MA, formerly of South Boston, MA, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on November 4, 2025. James was predeceased by his parents Peter Murphy and Yvonne Murphy.
Jim was a man of varied interests and pursuits. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed Pickleball and Handball. He also took great pleasure in spending time with dog, Dixie, particularly on walks at the beach and at the golf course. He loved to go to music concerts.
He is survived by his wife, Albertina (Tina) Murphy, his sisters: Marianne Murphy of NY, Catherine Kutsko of TN and Lorraine First of NJ. His sister-in-law, Andrea Tangredi of Easthampton, MA and many cousins, nieces, nephews and three great nephews.
Visitation will be November 16, 2025 from 2-5PM at Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester St., South Boston, MA 02127.
