Worcester – Stephen V. Cox, 70, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after an illness.
Stephen was born in Boston, son of the late Gerald W. and Helen F. (Davison) Cox and is survived by a sister, a brother and many friends, especially Kelsey, Rooney and his roommates at Harrington House.
Mr. Cox most recently worked at both Hotel Grace and the Saint John’s Food for the Poor Program. He took great pride in being able to give back by helping people that were in a time of need, just as he had been helped during his struggles.
Stephen loved his early morning walks, drives to various beaches and talking to friends and strangers alike.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 10 a.m. in Saint John’s Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Stephen may be made to the St. John’s Food for the Poor, 44 Temple St. Worcester, MA 01604.
