Michael Curtis Hollar, 34, of California, formerly of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on October 1st in Los Angeles California.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of Leighton Hollar of Georgia and the late Michele D. (Shanks) Stroud. Michael was currently working as a Security Consultant in the medical field and was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He had also worked as an engineer with NASA and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Brockton M.A.
Michael had many passions and talents; he loved lifting weights, listening to Beyoncé, and competing in strongman competitions. He was also an actor, model, musician, and songwriter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his father, he is survived by six brothers on his mother's side: Jonathan Stroud, Isaiah Stroud, Timothy Stroud, Tyee Shanks, Mark Stroud, and five sisters: Tomica LeBlanc, Connie Stroud, Nori Stroud, Victoria Stroud, and Karen Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. His father's side include: Uncle Hopeton and his wife Winsome, Auntie Juliet McCoy-Bonner and husband Jonny Bonner,
brother Daniel, Sister Lacoia and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will take place in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton, Wednesday December 17th at 9 am. Cremation to follow. Join Zoom Video Meeting
Interment of Cremated Remains will follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl Street, Brockton, where Michael will be laid to rest beside his mother at a later date.
